It has been a while since I blogged a recipe. Apologies for that. I was busy planning the third and successful “Culinary Boutique by BitesbyRenny”. The story about that event will come at another time. This new recipe is very easy, fit-fam approved, and can be made in under 30 minutes.

Sweet & Spicy Pork Chops

Servings 3

  • 3 Pork Chops (Bone-In) .75 inches thick
  • 3 tsps Paprika
  • 2 tbsps Pepper Flakes
  • 3 tsps Garlic Salt
  • 3 tsps Malabar Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Rice Oil
  • 1 cup Honey


  1. Mix all ingredients (except the pork chops) together with a whisk

  2. Massage the mixture into the pork chops

  3. Place all chops in a wide, stainless steel pan. Cook each side of the chops on medium heat for 7 minutes each. The paprika and pepper flakes will cause a beautifully crispy crust

  4. After each side has been cooked, take out of the chops out of the pan and then broil them in the oven on high for 2 minutes for a faux grill flavor.

    Tip: Use the sauce left in the pan to braise some vegetables to accompany your chops

Recipe Notes

The pork chops can be served with sides of your liking. I chose egg cooked over easy, braised spinach, and steamed basmati rice.
